I'm Weak

Here's something that I wasn't prepared for.....weakness. I'm not talking about my weakness for baked goods, Smirnoff's fluffed marshmallow vodka, or carne asada fries.

I'm talking about being physically weak in the gym.

Last week, I decided to get serious about my off-season workouts and headed to the gym for my first "heavy" back workout. I was so surprised about how hard it was for me to lift weights I thought would be "light". I struggled with admitting that I'm not as strong as I thought I was. I struggled with thoughts of wanting to quit and walking out of the gym.
Then I realized weakness is temporary. Pain is temporary. This off-season is going to be about gaining strength and making improvements. This off-season is about beast mode, baby!

  2. UGH! I hate when that happens. Get pissed, push through it, and get it done! Next time you go you will be that much stronger. I personally can not wait to see what package you bring next year if you decide to compete.
