Speak On It!!

I have been blessed this year by finding a friend in Genie Sammons. Genie has been so helpful & supportive of my attempt to become a figure competitor this past year. She took me under her wing and guided me with tough love, laughter, wisdom, and kindess.

I, along with countless others, have a tendency to pick myself apart. I have been doing a ridiculous amount of tearing me down in these weeks following my show. Yesterday, my mom gave me a reality check about my obsession with my weight and food.

I say all of that to share with you a piece that Genie wrote over the weekend. It's powerful and the message is ON POINT!!

We are enjoying life and improving on body parts that need improvement.

We are working towards our goals.

We work hard because we are worth it and we deserve it.
